Job Details
Provides office management and a wide range of administrative support for the Department of Theater and Dance.
Key Accountabilities
•Provides administrative and clerical support for faculty and staff in the department.
•Responsible for the department’s office management, including ordering office supplies, managing space reservations inside and outside of the building, maintenance work orders, building monitor scheduling, and Course of Instruction edits.
•Sets up meetings (schedule, prepare agendas).
•Attends and draft minutes for the department meetings.
•Supports accounting for all departmental budgets, including all departmental billing, payments, and capital requests.
•Accurately tracks expenses, processes and submits expense reports on behalf of the Director.
•Files correspondence, screens telephone calls and processes mail.
•Obtains royalties and orders scripts for production managers.
•Responsible for graphic specifications, design and layout of programs, posters, and email/digital notices. Orders and distributes publicity posters.
•Coordinates the use of current endowed funds (e.g. Ellys Anvil, B. Rodney Marriott, and Prize Day) and any other gifted funds.
•Prepares publicity in conjunction with the production managers, including graphic specifications, design and layout of programs, posters, and email/digital notices.
•Coordinates online ticket system and accounting of audience participation percentages.
•Assists the production managers with updating the department’s website and social media postings.
•Filters, responds to, and sets up appointments for meeting and giving tours to interested applicants.
•Serves as the technology liaison between IT and department (ATL).

Position Requirements
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.

•5+ years’ administrative experience.
•Experience in a theatrical setting preferred.
•Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.

Skills & Knowledge
•Independent decision-making and professional judgment in addressing student-related issues and personnel issues.
•Strong proofreading skills required.
